Full Flat Lamination Technology for Open Frame Touch Monitor

2022-11-07

Full-plane lamination is also called non-air-gap technology. Compared with traditional lamination methods, full-plane lamination can clearly see the difference in the image reflected from the open frame touch monitor. The manufacturing process and components of the touch panel may seem simple, but in fact the manufacturing process of the touch panel is varied. In terms of technology, both the front-end process and the back-end process are highly variable and growing.

The full-plane lamination technology is to directly glue the panel to the outer glass (or touch panel). Since the middle is in a vacuum state, the problem of light refraction can be avoided. However, if the traditional oral adhesive is used, it is easy to see the  phenomenon like two pieces of glass overlap. In addition, the full-plane lamination can make the screen with higher brightness and higher image quality, and even under strong light, the display content can still be clearly seen.

What is full fit technology? Let's take a look.

From the structure of the screen, we can roughly divide the screen into three parts, from top to bottom are the protective glass, the touch screen, and the monitor. These three parts need to be bonded. Generally speaking, two bondings are required, one bonding is performed between the protective glass and the touch screen, and the other bonding is between the monitor and the touch screen. According to the way of lamination, it can be divided into two types: full lamination and frame lamination.

The so-called frame lamination is also called mouth-shape adhesive lamination, that is, the touch screen and the four sides of the monitor are simply fixed with double-sided tape. This is also the lamination method used by most of the current monitors, but because there is an air layer between the touch monitor and the touch screen, the display effect is greatly reduced after the light is refracted, which is the biggest drawback of the frame lamination.

Full lamination means that the panel and the touch screen are completely glued together with water glue or optical glue in a seamless manner. Compared with frame stickers, it can provide better display effect.

The advantages of full fit

The full-fit technology eliminates the air between the screens, which helps reduce the reflection between the display panel and the glass, which can make the screen look more transparent and enhance the display effect of the screen. Another advantage is that the screen never gets dusted again. The strength of the touch module is also improved because it is closely combined with the panel. In addition, the full lamination can effectively reduce the interference of the display panel noise on the touch signal.

Since the full-fit technology can significantly improve the screen display effect, it will be chosen by many customers in the future, and the investment of many manufacturers will also help reduce costs.
