Why do touch monitors need burn-in testing?

2022-05-13

Every touch display has an important test before shipment, that is, the aging test. Today, Top One Tech will take you to understand why the touch display needs burn-in test.

The high-temperature aging test of the touch screen is an important test link to improve the reliability of the product and ensure the stable performance of the product under harsh conditions. The touch display is a kind of electronic device, whether it is a component, semi-finished product, or a complete machine, or equipment, it needs to be tested and aged.

What is aging test? Let's first understand the origin of aging test. Every electronic product is manufactured to become a complete product or a component, which has use value, but after use, some electronic parts will appear various problems, and most problems occur within the first few hours to dozens of hours. Therefore, the aging and testing of electronic products are stipulated to imitate the use state of the products. After aging and testing, the existing problems in the products are exposed in advance, and the problematic products are dealt with in time on the production line to ensure that the products sold to customers meet the quality requirements, which is the meaning of aging test.

So what is the aging test process? Let me tell you now

The first is to check, check that the touch display module installation is all correct; check whether there is a short circuit in the wiring, mixed connection; check whether the module installation is smooth and whether the seams are neat; check whether the appearance is intact and whether there are bumps and scratches;

Then put the touch monitor on the shelf of the professional burn-in machine room, each monitor corresponds to a socket, connect the power supply, and use the online control system to light the touch monitor, and then the burn-in test can be started.

Finally, the test time was continuously lit for more than 72 hours, and the room temperature of the computer room reached 44°C. During this process, the test includes: white screen, red, green, and blue three-color display status, grayscale gradient and video effects. During the aging test of the touch monitors, personnel will be arranged to be on duty, and problems will be reported to the engineering manager in time for processing.

Aging inspection of touch screen is a very important part of product quality control. All new models produced must undergo an aging test. The touch monitors produced by Top One Tech have undergone rigorous aging tests to ensure the stable performance of the products. Every display provided to customers is a qualified product.
